For our own projects, we are looking for: PIPING PROJECT ENGINEER Ref code: CR_2403-100_Piping Project Engineer Job summary MISSION: Ensure that engineering design, procurement, construction, and project completion is done in compliance with the project contract requirements, i.e., project schedule, cost, HSE, and company standards and procedures.
TASKS: Coordinate piping-related activities throughout all phases of EPC projects, including engineering design, procurement, fabrication, installation, and commissioning. Review and approve piping design drawings, specifications, and documents to ensure compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards. Collaborate with procurement teams to select appropriate piping materials based on project specifications, process requirements, and budgetary constraints. Evaluate and select qualified vendors and subcontractors for piping materials, fabrication, and installation services, and oversee their performance to ensure adherence to quality and schedule requirements. Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during the installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems, and address any issues or discrepancies that may arise. Implement quality control measures and inspection procedures to verify the integrity and compliance of piping installations with project specifications and industry standards. Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities related to piping materials, fabrication, and installation activities. Develop and maintain project schedules for piping-related tasks, coordinate with other disciplines, and proactively identify and address schedule risks and delays. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding piping-related matters, provide regular updates on project progress, and address client inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner. Ensure accurate and timely documentation of piping engineering deliverables, construction progress reports, change orders, and as-built drawings for record-keeping and project closeout purposes. EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Proven experience 8+ years as a Piping Engineer or Project Engineer in the EPC industry, with a focus on coordinating piping activities for large-scale projects. Strong knowledge of piping design principles, materials, codes, and standards, including ASME B31.3, ASME B31.1, and API standards. Experience with piping design software such as AutoCAD, PDMS, or SmartPlant 3D. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Proactive problem-solving attitude and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting project objectives.
