We are currently seeking a Piping Materials Engineer Junior, reporting directly to the Piping Materials Section Head to join our Materials Management team based in Rome.
You will work inside the Materials Management Section that is in charge of the management of Piping Materials definition, Procurement, and quantity follow-up.
You will start working on a Project as Piping Material Engineer Junior with the coordination of the Materials Management Discipline Coordinator.
The prospective for the candidate is to grow encompassing all Piping Material Management issues.
Key interactions of the Piping Material Engineer are internally with Project teams, Process, Civil Engineering, Piping Designers, Instrumentation specialists, IT, Estimating and Cost Control Departments, Construction Department, and Planning Department; externally with Clients and Suppliers.
Responsibilities: Support in developing Piping Classes Summary Piping Classes; Aid in developing Job Specification for design and supply; Assist in preparing Data Sheet of special material; Support in performing Piping Material Take-Offs, Working Instruction, Monitoring Quantities; Help in preparing Material Requisition for inquiry and purchase; Evaluate offers from vendors, perform the technical Bid Tabulation, including technical clarifications and deviations; Review Vendors' documentation; Prepare Quantities re-evaluation both for Purchasing and Construction; Collaborate in preparing Piping Materials Forecast Run to crosscheck the material availability at Site to ensure the Construction workload; You will have the opportunity to do business trips to attend technical meetings with Clients or Suppliers, visit Vendor workshops, move to other Technip Energies operating centers and join our colleagues overseas.
Occasionally you will also have the opportunity to follow up engineering activities related to Piping Materials directly on our Plant sites, supporting prefabrication and erection activities.
