Aim of the position
The resource will be placed in the Engineering Department.
He/She will develop basic and detailed engineering, interacting also with external suppliers for the follow-up of the outsourced detailed engineering. The designer will collaborate together with the Project Execution Department for the project management and for the procurement of materials. He/She will also take part in technical meetings at clients' site or supplier location and may be involved in supervision activities during the erection, commissioning and start-up phases.
Main responsibilities and Contents
In detail, he/she will have to develop the following activities:
Design of the plant layout; 3D modelling of piping, supports, structures etc.; Metallic structures single-line design; Drafting of 2D technical drawings supporting engineering activities; Coordination of detailed engineering carried out by external companies and check for subcontractor documentation; Participation in technical meetings; Inspections at suppliers' workshop; Collaboration in assembly, commissioning and start-up. Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate should meet the following requirements:
Diploma or Bachelor's degree (preferably mechanical engineering) or equivalent; 3-5 years of specific experience as industrial plant designer; Knowledge of the main IT tools (Word, Excel) and AUTOCAD; Knowledge of 3D piping modelling software (specifically E3D by Aveva); Good written and spoken knowledge of the English language; Availability for short trips in Italy and abroad (extra EU); Good will, proactivity, ability to both individual and teamwork.
