YOUR ROLE Failure Analysis is one of the key Company processes to drive product and process Quality improvement.
In the context of business growth, the Quality Analysis laboratory of the STMicroelectronics based in Cornaredo site is looking for a physical analysis engineer.
The candidate will join a team of about fifteen people, technicians and engineers, whose mission is to analyze either Customer returns or Qualification rejects with the aim to identify and characterize defects responsible of the device electrical malfunctioning and feedback Manufacturing organizations to improve device fabrication processes.
The candidate mission will be: Support physical analysis (sample preparation and observations) applying advanced non-destructive (infrared, optical, x-rays and scanning acoustic microscopy, as well as x-ray tomography) and destructive (scanning electron microscopy and focused ion beam) techniques, as well as critical sample preparation methodologies (chemo-mechanical polishing, chemical and laser package decapsulation, cross sectioning) Participate in the continuous improvement of the laboratory according ISO9001 and IATF.
Responsibility for documentation and procedures drafting.
The candidate will work in an international context, in collaboration with other Product Analysis teams and with daily contact with analysis requestors: product quality & reliability teams, engineering, design, as well as with Front End and Back End teams YOUR SKILLS & EXPERIENCES Master degree in sciences (physics, material sciences or similar)1-5 years of experience English business proficiency Device fabrication process knowledge is appreciated We encourage candidates who may not meet every single requirement to apply, as we appreciate diverse perspectives and provide opportunities for growth and learning.
