Permitting and Licensing: Manage the permitting process for PV projects, including the preparation and submission of permit applications, environmental impact statements, and other regulatory documents.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders including local communities, regulatory agencies, and environmental organizations to address concerns, gather feedback, and build positive relationships.
Sustainability Initiatives: Develop and implement sustainability initiatives for PV projects, including resource conservation, waste management, and carbon footprint reduction strategies.
Risk Management: Identify environmental risks and develop mitigation measures to minimize the impact of PV projects on the environment and surrounding communities.
Environmental Monitoring: Establish environmental monitoring programs to track key indicators such as water quality, air emissions, and wildlife populations at PV project sites.
Reporting and Documentation: Prepare environmental reports, documentation, and presentations for internal and external stakeholders, highlighting project milestones, compliance status, and environmental performance metrics.
Continuous Improvement: Stay informed about emerging environmental trends, technologies, and best practices in the PV industry, and recommend improvements to environmental management processes and procedures.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project developers, engineers, and regulatory affairs specialists to integrate environmental considerations into all stages of PV project development and operation.
Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management, preferably within the photovoltaic industry.
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
Additional certifications in environmental management are preferred.
In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations and permitting requirements relevant to PV projects.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex environmental issues and propose effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
Proficiency in environmental assessment tools, GIS software, and other relevant technical applications.
Demonstrated project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship, with a passion for renewable energy and climate action.
Willingness to travel to project sites and attend meetings with stakeholders as needed.
Fluency in English and Italian both written and verbal, is required.
