Pharmacy Technician Ii, Consolidated Service Center

Job Summary:Prepares, stores and maintains medication inventory. Aseptically prepares sterile solutions under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. Assists in cleaning activities for the compounding lab. Coordinates deliveries of medications to offsite locations. Performs unit dose prepacking and repackaging of medications. Participates in quality control and quality assurance projects related to compounded sterile products.Minimum Qualifications:Candidates must fulfill one of the following to meet minimum qualifications:- NYS pharmacy technician license and National Pharmacy Technician Certification.- National Pharmacy Technician Certification plus 6 months of pharmacy technician experience, and NYS pharmacy technician license within 6 months. *Candidates who are not licensed will be on a temporary appointment until license is received.- Associates Degree OR NYS licensed/registered LPN OR 1 year of pharmacy technician experience (or successful completion of a military or other accredited pharmacy technician training program).
