The Payments Coordinator oversees the team that manages inbound and outbound transactions for Italy and Abroad payments of the Bank's Retail division in euro and non-euro as well as domestic/tax payments and bank/circular checks, ensuring their correct, efficient, accurate and timely execution, proactive management of anomalies, compliance with regulatory requirements and implementation of best practices in payments process management and related evolutions.

Key Characteristics. Operations Management: Oversee the management of daily payment processing and settlement operations, ensuring that all transactions are processed accurately and timely, resolving any issues and anomalies, ensuring excellent service to internal and external customers. Support other internal operational areas and customer service channels.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure that all payment transactions comply with internal policies, industry regulations, and risk management standards. Oversee key risk indicators (KRIs) and ensure timely detection and reporting of internal critical issues.
Process Improvement: Assess and continuously improve payment processing procedures to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and increase the degree of automation/digitization.
Team Leadership: Lead and guide a team of payment specialists, providing training, performance evaluations, and ongoing support in professional development.
Reporting: Oversee, produce, and analyze reporting, including transaction volumes, processing times, and error rates, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, monitoring internal, intra-group, and service provider service level agreements.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with the bank's various functions locally and internationally, including IT, Compliance, Contact Center, Business Tribe to implement and maintain secure, efficient, and up-to-date payment processing processes and systems to ensure proper execution of payments in line with service and product expectations.
Vendor/Outsourcer Management: Oversee, monitor activities, analyze key controls and SLAs of outsourced (near/offshoring) managed activities, produce, analyze reporting, including transaction volumes, processing times and error rates, analyzing data to identify trends and areas for improvement, monitoring Service Level Agreements, training and proper performance of activities.
Education required: Bachelor's degree in Economics and Finance, Management Engineering or a related field.
Master's degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
Work Experience: Minimum of 7 years of payment back office management experience, with at least 2 years in a management role.Knowledge: Thorough knowledge of payment processing systems, industry regulations and compliance requirements.
