For our Supply Chain Division we are looking for one Packaging Shift Supervisor who, being based in our Davines Village in Parma, will have the mission to ensure that people and performances of our Packaging Department are managed with excellent safety and quality standards, acting as a change agent to build a Lean culture, aligned with the Company's sustainable values.
DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, lead Packaging Department operations to achieve 100% attainment of the fixed production schedule, while observing all quality control standards and maximizing efficient, effective application of manufacturing resources in a safe manner.
Promote an interdependent safety culture and work proactively to accomplish the safety mission in the plant of zero accidents.
Lead a team of approx. 40 people, manage people's objectives and development plans, promoting a strong level of engagement, motivation and accountability both at team and individual level.
Act as a champion of Lean culture both within the department and across functions.
Support and embrace the Quality, Environmental and Sustainability goals of the Plant, maintaining a safe, clean work environment.
Ensure the optimization of the packaging department processes and performances, providing every necessary information regarding the relevant shift/affecting other shifts both to the Manufacturing Manager and to other Production Supervisors.
Manage the assignment of people to packaging lines based on defined criteria (including health & safety, as well as development goals).
Be responsible for maintenance activities requests and to promote improvement initiatives, guiding/implementing all necessary actions to guarantee product and process quality.
Work closely with Quality and Product engineering functions.
PERSON SPECIFICATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
Previous working experience in manufacturing plants.
Technical High School or University degree in Engineering/Technical/Scientific areas would be a plus.
Fluent in Italian, English nice-to-have.
Excellent working knowledge and proven experience of Lean methodologies and standards.
Strong social and communication skills, curiosity and willingness to learn.
Highly motivated, result-oriented with strong entrepreneurial drive to make things happen.
Must be a self-starter and willing to take initiative.
Experience in leading and developing teams.
Ability to work under pressure and in complex environments.
Excellent working knowledge and proven experience of H&S procedures.
