Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities The incumbent will deal with new product development and product improvement activities.
The new comer will work with the whole organization, and the role requires a deep experience in mechanical design, extensive experience in complete product design and development, previous experiences in design management systems and ERP, product/components specification and design, metal fabrication technologies, mass production logics, familiarity with CAD, CAE, FEM analysis, and at least 10 years of experience in complex mechanical systems design.
Specific experience in the specific sector is a plus.
The role requires leading and growing a team of senior technicians, and maintaining a good connection with key internal and external actors.
The management of big projects will also require the capacity to organize, monitor, steer project activities and planning, a sound knowledge of financial data, and previous experiences in leading resources.
Required Competences and Experiences University degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a technical subject At least 10 years of experience in the design of complex mechanical systems, in mid or large-size companies Proven experience in Mechanical Design of complex systems Familiarity with main metal forming methods and technologies Knowledge of Materials (metals, plastics, rubbers), thermodynamics, fan and ventilation technology, hydraulic design, and fundamentals in Electrical and Electromechanical systems Component specification drafting and component integration Vision of the whole project (specs definition, project management, financial elements, supplier and customer relationships, activity coordination, Lab testing, product certifications) and capacity to take the correct decisions Design experience, CAD tools, CAE, FEM operative experience, SolidEdge specific knowledge a plus.
Simulation tools experience is welcome Design and Quality tools, such as QFD, FMEA, DFMA, Process Capability.
Hands-on experience in VAVE and cost-containment techniques and activities.
Process Improvement elements are welcome Capacity and previous experience in leading and growing a team of technicians Take part in the technology evolution of our products, foster innovation activities, and stretch new product design Have a particular attention to the Voice Of the Customer and quality product requirements Monitor technology, competitors, and category trends.
