As an Outside Sales Engineer, you will be the face of Emerson in front of our key customers within the Italy Emilia Romagna area, proposing a wide range of field instrument products and solutions across various industries such as Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Refinery, Power, Metal & Mining, and Pulp & Paper. Reporting to the Area Sales Manager, you will help identify and qualify new business opportunities with existing or new customers within your assigned area, promoting customer satisfaction and loyalty by demonstrating an understanding of their business and needs. Your focus will be on competitive displacement opportunities, OEM business, and end users located on the territory. Identify market requirements and specifics, developing and completing the strategies and tactics for growth of orders and profitability in the agreed sales territory. Actively promote and sell field instrumentation offerings including products, solutions, and services. Negotiate relevant business contracts with customers within the agreed Delegation of Authority – including discount, price, and volume structures. Drive sales and proposal strategies with the sales support organization (local and international). Participate in the annual budget setting process and provide commentary on relative prospects for bookings and GP as necessary. Maintain a project opportunity list for the assigned sales area in the associated tools (CRM, etc.). Oversee, ensure, and personally support the execution of committed contractual terms to customers in all business transactions. At least 3-5 years of proven successful experience in technical sales roles within the process industry. Proficiency in Italian and English (verbal, reading, and writing) is required. Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time. Residence in the Emilia Romagna region is preferred.
