Join our Team The Outage Project Engineer (OPE) will provide technical support to internal customers (PM/CPM/Service Manager) in preparation of critical shutdowns, working in accordance to internal guidelines, embracing customer's requests with a proactive approach.The OPE will behave as the engineering entry point for internal customers and regional operations and will ensure smooth outage executions, promote extra works, productivity, and cost avoidance.
Partner with the best During outage executions, the OPE will support shutdowns either from remote or being involved in site activities, depending on customer needs and outage criticalities.In both preparation and execution phases, the OPE will collaborate with other teams within Service Engineering and Service to improve collection of lessons learned, share best practices, expedite issue resolution, and promote a continuous improvement of maintenance activities.
Moreover, the OPE will sustain a strong operation, quality, and HSE culture.
As an Outage Project Engineer, you will be responsible for: Maintaining a solid networking with PM/CPM/Service Manager, regional operations, and preparation teams, always promoting a good and professional reputation of the Outage Engineering team.
Keeping the focus during outage preparation and execution, on site-specific issues, as per internal customers' indications, covering a standard scope that consists of analysis and screening of internal databases to identify past issues and propose plant enhancements.
Sharing engineering dispositions constantly with the preparation team, being deeply involved in the operating rhythm of an outage preparation.
Collecting all engineering dispositions in the Outage Engineering Report that will be released and stored in BH databases after any outage execution.
Collecting and sharing of best practices, transferring lessons learned to other team members and other teams.
Collaborating with the team leader in the improvement of internal tools.
Being involved in projects and initiatives for internal productivity or critical for IET GTS.
Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent scientific field/demonstrated experience.
Have advanced knowledge of at least one product of the IET portfolio and basic knowledge of IET products in general (Gas/Steam turbines, Centrifugal/Axial/Reciprocating compressors), both Flange to Flange and Auxiliaries.
Have knowledge of outage executions, maintenance events, commissioning, and start-up of units.
Be able to understand PID, drawings, parts lists, and Gantt charts.
Have the ability to meet deadlines, work independently, and manage multiple projects at the same time.
Have excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact at all levels within and outside the company.
Be open-minded, flexible, and able to collaborate without boundaries.
Be available to travel to sites for 10% of the time.
