Position Overview
The role is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient flow of material and products by planning, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring suppliers' orders and manufacturing work orders. This position contributes to meet production schedules, manage inventory levels, minimize costs and support the manufacturing to achieve both internal financial goals and customer delivery dates.
A potential candidate acquires strong analytic skills, attention to details and a good team player with the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
Position Responsibilities
Material planning and scheduling: develop and maintain material requirements plan based on production schedule Commodity management: collaborate with management to support procurement, assist in commodity business plans, assess market trends, pricing, and product availability Track production volume and monitor customer demand patterns and purchasing trends Cost management: performs cost analysis and volume planning for major commodities (e.g. materials, components, equipment and services) according to the assigned KPI Liaising with customers, suppliers, and distributors Supplier coordinator: conduct supplier meetings, follow up on actions and prepare reports Monitor and upgrade supplier performance whilst maintaining good supplier relationships and expanding suppliers/vendors portfolios Support the procurement team in change management, part parameter updates, quote table maintenance, supplier database information, error report analysis, and part number/supplier code information Create and maintain bill of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems Ensure that Purchase Orders (POs) are created on time while proactively identifying risks and providing mitigation plans Responsible for data input and maintaining the integrity of the procurement business system Position Requirements
Associate degree or certificate in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field 3+ years of experience in material planning, inventory management, purchasing, or a related position Strong knowledge of material requirements planning and inventory management principles Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage responsibilities simultaneously Requires domestic or global expertise of production or manufacturing environment Familiar with ERP system, and experience in improving process is a plus Salary Range
