We are currently seeking a highly skilled Oracle Database Administrator to become a valuable addition to one of our US clients.
The ideal candidate will utilize their extensive experience in both development and support of Oracle database systems to enhance our capabilities and ensure efficient database operations.
Key Responsibilities: Design, configure, and maintain Oracle databases to meet business requirements.
Support database migrations between on-premises and cloud environments (such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure).
Analyze data access patterns to identify and address hotspots and bottlenecks for optimal performance.
Assist developers with data model design and review, planning high-performing queries.
Define and implement best practices for Oracle database management, including configuration and performance monitoring.
Manage the storage capacity of database clusters, planning for future growth.
Provide diagnostic support and troubleshoot production issues to ensure reliability and performance.
Requirements: Proficiency in Oracle, with over 4 years of experience.
In-depth knowledge of core Oracle concepts and architecture.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Expertise in GoldenGate, Exadata, and RAC technologies.
Competency in managing Linux/Unix server environments.
Familiarity with CI/CD principles, especially using Jenkins and GitLab.
Understanding of AWS.
Upper-intermediate (B2) or higher English proficiency for communication in a multinational environment.
Expertise in Oracle RMAN (Recovery Manager) or Data Guard for database backup, recovery, and replication.
Experience with database security measures, such as encryption, user roles, and access control management.
Proven experience in performance tuning (both at the database and query level).
Experience with managing database upgrades, patches, and ensuring version control without impacting production systems.
Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, Perl, or Python) to automate routine DBA tasks.
Experience in implementing and managing high-availability solutions (including Oracle RAC, Data Guard) to minimize downtime.
