Job summary We are looking for a Process Engineer responsible for supporting the optimization of the optical processes; he/she will interact with manufacturing technicians, quality engineering, configuration managers and test engineering. Process Engineer will design and develop manufacturing processes, guide the manufacturability of new product designs and investigate and implement continuous improvement opportunities. This position has direct responsibility over manufacturing and facility effectiveness.
Responsibilities and duties Drive the improvement of the optical processes currently used in the manufacturing production line by designing, executing and analysing dedicated tests.
Get conclusions based on solid statistical basis Support the qualification of new optical processes/equipment/technology Implement procedures related to the improved processes and monitor their application Support the implementation of Statistical Process Control on the critical Key Process Indicators and monitor over time Contribute to the deployment of Root Cause Analysis interacting with design, data analysis and production engineers and by proactively analysing data and driving conclusions for improvement Provide support for physical and functional configuration audits Support the production team in designing and continuously improving manufacturing process to improve yield, cycle time and productivity Execute and lead the processes for eliminating losses by effective problem solving focusing on costs reduction and opportunities Promote preventive actions to avoid potential failures by supporting the deployment of PFMEA Analysis Qualification and Skills Required Skills Master's degree in technical studies is required (Physics is preferred) Solid bases on optics with special care on fibre optics technology and related processes Basic knowledge of electro optical components Basic knowledge of statistical data analysis techniques Attitude to data analysis and problem solving.
