OBJECTIVE: The main purpose of this Operations Supervisor role is to work with colleagues and clients to further NSF's mission to Protect and Improve Human and Planet Health. Tasks linked to this role: Reporting to EU & Africa Operations Manager and be point-of-contact for the day-to-day running of the operation. Working closely with EMEA Audit Delivery Scheme Manager to ensure that clients have a seamless experience and that audits are scheduled optimally. Champion excellent customer service and set the team up for success. Manage a number of direct reports (2-5 on level Coordinator 1) that could be based in another country Establish goals for your team members that are in line with the business objectives. Put in place a training and development plan for each team member and have regular one-on-ones to monitor progress and give constructive performance feedback. Work closely with HR on all recruitment and discipline matters. Manage leave schedules to ensure that the team is adequately staffed. Maintain financial control, by ensuring that customers are quoted and invoiced accurately, and that the monthly accrual is completed accurately too. Complete monthly revenue forecasts, and compare these against actual results for accuracy. Monitor progress using Power BI reports, net promoter score, and employee engagement survey, and act based on data. The success criteria of the role : 1-2 year's experience in leading or managing a team 3-5 years experience in general office administration, preferably in scheduling activities, invoicing and client relationships. Ability to take autonomous local responsibility over the local team while reporting to a leader based in another country. Accountable to provide accurate updates on commercial and performance metrics of the team, entity and business units you represent. Written and verbal competency in English is a requirement Your team members feel supported and empowered to reach their goals. Clients are loyal to NSF because they have a seamless and simple auditing experience. Key accounts are delighted with NSF's service, and don't think twice about bringing more business to us. Key accounts are managed holistically and proactively, by doing pre-planning and pre-scheduling and monitoring progress on a continuous basis. Queries are answered quickly, within 48 hours at the latest. Deliverables are within NSF and scheme owner timelines. Key accounts are managed start-to-finish. All exiting accounts are interviewed, investigated, and negotiated with. Budgeted audit count is reached monthly. Qualifications : You have previous people management experience, and the soft skills to effectively manage the team. Knowledge of the testing, inspection, and consulting industry is a huge plus. You think in terms of client service, finance, process, systems, and data. You have a positive, can-do attitude. You carry out your role with empathy for your colleagues and clients. You are an efficient and effective communicator and stick to NSF's turnaround times. You turn problems into solutions. You are proactive and do follow-up so that others don't have to. You have attention to detail and a high level of accuracy because you double check your work. You tailor your approach according to the needs of your colleagues and clients.
