If yes, then we have an exciting opportunity for you in our Italian team.
In this leadership role you will lead a team of 8 Underwriting Assistants based in Milano, Italy and ensure delivery of operations services along the value chain of Underwriting, Cash Collection and Claims Handling for the Italian market.
You have an end to end accountability towards the market you support while expert and transactional services are being provided centrally by teams in Bratislava and Bucharest.
You will be helping us to maintain process adherence, service levels and meeting key performance indicators.
You engage with business stakeholders in the Milano office and assist them in addressing internal and external customer queries and feedback.

Problem solving, harmonising and continuously improving processes and operating models give you energy.
This requires in-depth knowledge of processes and systems we use in EMEA.

A service mindset will be key as well as finding the right balance of being tactical and strategic.

This requires you to be an advocate for change and motivating teams to join our journey in Corporate Solutions and Operations.
Main activities Delivery of operations services: An operations expert in commercial insurance and International Program Business who drives seamless service delivery.
Ensuring service delivery within agreed service level agreements meeting or exceeding key performance indicators.
Ensuring that teams are organized and resourced appropriately with the right skills to deliver to the expectations.
Drive decisions by data and facts.
Driving operational risk management activities which includes related key controls and quarterly risk assessment for the department.
Being a key contact and subject matter expert for audits and risk reviews.
Endorsing continuous improvements: Drive efficiency improvements across all technical accounting, underwriting support and claims operations aspects, whether through technology, process or organizational proposals.
Helping us to drive towards global process harmonization with local deviations where necessary.
Implementing strategic and tactical initiatives to deliver key priorities.
Addressing short term, tactical or future strategic ambitions of Corporate Solutions.
Participate and contribute in project work and special tasks.
Perform any other ad hoc activities as requested by management.
Leadership responsibility: Hands-on leader and driver of change.
Excellent communicator driving pro-active and consistent information sharing.
Leadership and motivation of employees by coaching, monitoring and developing talents.
Attracting and retaining talents by further evolving employee development plans.

About You Position requirements You have a high tolerance of ambiguity and track record of Operations management in corporate insurance.
You demonstrated your experience in leading teams through change.
Experience in facilitating different levels of conversations as a strong communicator will help you to ensure high quality service delivery as well as leading through future changes.
You enjoy problem solving, are very structured, detail oriented, build up own knowledge and expertise in a topic systematically, gather facts and build consensus.
You are proficient in engaging at senior management level, are a highly self-motivated, dedicated individual that is comfortable in dealing with different counterparts and cultures.
Essentials: At least 5 years of experience in similar position in corporate insurance or within an insurance broking organisation.
Proven track record in end to end operations management with in depth knowledge in International Program Business.
Passionate about people development and talent management.
Strong service and client-oriented mindset.
Experienced advocate with track record in implementing change.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, a proven ability to influence people and gain buy-in to new ideas.
Language skills: Italian and English fluent written and spoken.
Desired: Secondary Education (master or bachelor's degree).
Preferably in Accounting, Insurance or Finance.
Lean, Business Process Management or Six Sigma certification.
