About the role At our Altopascio (Lucca) plant, we are seeking an Operations Line Leader. The position includes managing 30 direct reports and overseeing the entire production setup from a 5M perspective in the production area, with direct reporting to the Operations Manager. Our Altopascio facility, which specializes in producing our Tempo and Tork brands, has a workforce of approximately 300. It houses a Tissue machine with a cogeneration unit and a converting department for folded products like Hankies and Napkins across 4 production lines. This role is specifically within the converting department. We seek individuals who represent our values, are eager to challenge norms, innovate, experiment, and work at a rapid pace. What You Will Do Champion Safety Corporate programs and foster a culture of 'Safety First' with a goal of zero accidents.Utilize Statistical Process Control techniques to set up, oversee, and enhance processes.Set up and uphold process parameters and standards for efficient operations.Enhance product and material development and project execution through ongoing improvement.Perform technical gap analysis within the scope of responsibility.Guide small group activities as an expert in process and technology.Sustainably advance production processes through Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and standardization.Educate and mentor operational teams to comply with established standards and procedures.Participate in meetings, oversee line activities, work with operators, advocate for excellence programs, exchange best practices, unify systems, and carry out production plans effectively.Who You Are Possesses +3 years of experience in process manufacturing industries, having worked as a Process Engineer or in comparable positions.Proficient in people management and labor disciplines.Proficient in IT, skilled in Microsoft Office, SAP, and related software.Able to conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for fundamental cause identification and countermeasure implementation.Thinks strategically and has a comprehensive viewpoint.Willing to challenge the status quo.Focused on results and driven by objectives.Welcomes change.Collaborates well as part of a team.Communicates effectively at all organizational levels.Has strong presentation skills.What We Can Offer You At Essity, we believe everyone's learning and professional development is unique and want to empower employees to reach their full potential in a winning culture motivated by a powerful purpose.
