The role designed for you The Operational Excellence Senior Engineer will support the Head of Operational Excellence in leading results delivery by ensuring the most appropriate pace of execution for the operational excellence program , balancing time to impact and change rhythm in an international and rapidly growing environment.
The impact you'll have: You will maintain and further develop, in partnership with business owners (e.g. plant managers), the Opex program masterplan, which includes individual initiatives action plans, milestones and deliverable monitoring, map of inter-dependencies and most appropriate sequencing, prioritization. You will prepare regular reports and meetings to track progress on initiatives, highlighting current and expected impact in P&L/Cash flow, setting rules for tracking value, that create transparency on progress and risks. You will support the Opex program governance, including standardized, weekly action-oriented meetings to ensure progress, timely countermeasures and risks addressing, as well as frequent plants visits to further verify implementation and status of initiatives. You will develop strong partnerships with business owners (e.g. plant managers) to ensure transparency on progress and timely action resolution, while promoting cross collaboration and knowledge sharing across multiple work streams and acting as a reference to the plants Ops excellence focal points. You will design, implement, and sustain a coherent KPI monitoring system across the footprint aimed to improve and harmonize processes in the plants of the BU, to sustain the performance growth in the day-by-day business (e.g. OEE, defect and waste reduction at product/machine/plant level). You will leverage on the Lean methodology and problem-solving approach to assess and mitigate risk of deviation between actual and expected performance. You will promote continuous improvement mindset to support operational activities by engaging multiple stakeholders. The Attitudes and Skills We're Looking For You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Engineering or equivalent experience. You have 5+ years of experience in top consultancy and/or in a multinational operations function. You have experience in an operational excellence program and/or in a PMO role. You have deep knowledge of lean methodology and continuous improvement approach. You are proficient in Office Suite (high level in Excel, PowerPoint), data management tools and ERPs. You can communicate clearly and work effectively with other. You work well in a team environment as well as function independently. You are an analytical thinker and a problem solver. You have a learning mindset, and you are able to quickly gain understanding of complex issues. You are capable to summarize and present findings to others in a clear and understandable way. You are proactive, and have a strong passion for execution and making things happen, with a hands-on approach to drive impact. You have strong leadership skills, a natural ability to build trust-based relationships to ensure progress.
You are fluent English and Italian, written and spoken. Other languages are a plus. Previous analytical work experience as well as in project management considered a Based in: Italy, Caponago (Milan area)
