RINA is currently recruiting for a Offshore Pipeline Engineer to join its office in Genoa (Italy) within the Energy Engineering Solutions Division.
MissionThe Pipeline Engineer leads technical engineering activities for pipeline design, including design appraisal and certification of new and existing pipelines. This role ensures compliance with project requirements, manages project interfaces, and supervises information flow while maintaining and developing technical skills, expertise, knowledge, procedures, and tools for proposals and project execution.
Key AccountabilitiesPipeline Design, Engineering Studies and Analyses:
Coordinate all activities related to pipeline design, including existing and new projects.
Manage all internal and external project interfaces to ensure timely provision of necessary input and information to meet project execution schedules.
Lead the engineering team in developing strategies for system configuration tasks and component design, ensuring progress and satisfactory task completion within project constraints.
Construction Support:
Oversee and execute all technical activities within the discipline.
Provide technical support and direction to solve engineering issues.
Identify project and contract hot spots, criticalities, and activity priorities.
Optimize technical engineering processes to achieve reduced time and costs.
Resource Management:
Coordinate resources assigned to the discipline.
Supervise and coordinate all engineering, design, and drafting activities.
Ensure the proper management of interfaces with other disciplines and construction/installation activities, driving the team toward optimized cost-effective solutions.
Project Oversight:
Control project schedules and ensure adherence to timelines.
Supervise and coordinate the review and independent analysis of pipelines during third-party engineering activities.
Oversee requisitioning and technical bid evaluations.
Development and Reporting:
Develop personnel skills and flexibility through work assignments, responsibilities, seminars, and courses.
Ensure the capitalization of project experience to improve work methodologies.
Report to the Pipeline Principal Engineer.
Innovation and Optimization:
Explore new technologies and methodologies to optimize pipeline design and construction processes.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure that pipeline design comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as industry standards and codes.
EducationMaster's Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
QualificationsMinimum 3 years of experience in pipeline engineering, with a focus on design and analysis.
Good knowledge of software tools for structural design and installation analysis (experience with OrcaFlex is preferred).
Expertise in project management, including scheduling, resource allocation, and cost optimization.
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients, project teams, and subcontractors.
Commitment to continuous professional development and learning.
Proficiency in English and Italian (both written and spoken).
