Ocean Export Team Leader

Overall Responsibility: Overall responsibility for Team success by agreeing, implementing and monitoring individual and Team objectives and targets whilst ensuring company policies and procedures are adhered to.
Monitor Team performance and activity.
Serve clients, identify their needs and provide feedback on the success of filling jobs.
Building and maintaining relationships (internal/external).
Write weekly/monthly figures and reports.
Hold weekly/monthly meetings; discuss task delegation and review issues.
In conjunction with Manager, set quarterly targets and objectives.
Communication - encourage respect and open communication.
Assist in the interview and recruitment of team members.
Perform auditing and quality checking.
Identify opportunities for process improvements.
Handling escalations from customers and internally.
Attendance checking.
Training new team members.
Supporting Manager on local quotation and pricing.
Qualifications Experience: Graduate of any discipline.
8-10 years experience in ocean export (Multinational Freight forwarder).
Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in Supervisory role in customer service related matter within the freight forwarding industry.
Technical knowledge in ocean export is a must.
Project manager is a plus.
Combined excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong ability to analyze situations and to make good decisions based on available information.
Ability to adapt quickly to changing policies and procedures.
Fluent English (oral and written) - Negotiation skills - Public speaking.
