For our offices in Milan, we're looking for a dynamic Senior Materials Engineer to join our NWC Business Unit.In this role, you'll be at the forefront of identifying, developing, characterizing, and qualifying new materials to:Propose cutting-edge solutions for the market.Continuously improve the manufacturing processes of compounds and materials.Enhance product reliability.Ensure the availability and cost-effectiveness of raw materials for our supply chain.Serve as the go-to materials expert for internal teams (R&D, Procurement, Commercial, Manufacturing, QHSE) and external customers.Manage the raw materials and compounds essential for cable production, ensuring market availability and competitive pricing.Monitor and improve manufacturing processes to guarantee material durability.Provide efficient support to R&D, Supply Chain, Production, Procurement, and QHSE departments.Oversee complete documentation management, including product specifications, technical specifications, material safety data sheets, and compliance with REACH and RoHS.Key Challenges:Coordinating with R&D, Operations, Supply Chain, Testing Laboratories, and Quality teams.Managing projects to complete all required qualification programs on schedule.Supporting the operations team in adjusting process parameters and sourcing new references as needed.Why This Role?To be part of innovative and sustainable programs driving the Energy Transition.
