Partner with the best Among Baker Hughes Product lines, PVS (Pumps, Valves and Systems) is the Center of Excellence for Centrifugal pumps and will develop innovative pumping solutions for a safer, cleaner and more efficient industry.
Reporting to the PVS Product Development Manager, the NPD Lead Design Engineer will work across key initiatives to develop, implement, and facilitate strategical technological and organizational transformations to accelerate innovation of PVS products in line with the latest technology discoveries.
As an NPD Lead Design Engineer, he/she will dynamically participate in the re-design phase of existing pumps, introduce new arrangements tailored for adjacent markets and perform research and testing on concepts identified to fit new stimulating applications typical of the Energy Transition.
Responsibilities and accountabilities: As NPD Lead Design Engineer he/she will be responsible for: Supporting PVS ITO for Pumps selection where new hydraulic development is needed.
Partnering with the commercial team to organize technology sessions with key customers to identify emerging new trends and possible long-term tech collaborations.
Supporting design and development activities of new products, executing the development and cross-functional project tasks and executing design, calculations, analysis or evaluation of assigned product, adhering to internal standards.
Supporting the team in the execution of fast prototyping, new design tools introduction, debugging, verification testing and performance characterization of new concepts and products, development testing protocols: exploratory testing to define test equipment, test fixtures and test methods.
Supporting market research to determine what types of products might be successful among consumers, collaborating with engineers and developers to create product designs and with marketing teams to develop sales plans for future products.
Requirements: Have a bachelor's in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering.
Have at least 5 years of experience in Centrifugal Pumps engineering & technology.
Demonstrate knowledge of turbo machinery or mechanical systems.
Be open to innovative ideas and passionate about new technologies.
Good attitude in communicating business goals/programs/processes for an area or business segment.
Have experience in cross-functional teamwork and ability to work closely with multiple functions.
Have good verbal and written skills, be fluent both in English and Italian.
