In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with our customers in the public sector and you will be responsible for developing new business by identifying profitable opportunities, maintaining your client portfolio by building strong, long-lasting relationships, and monitoring the progress of the projects, with the aim to provide excellent client service and added value services.
What will you be bringing to the team? Development and maintenance of software applications in the field of Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Machine Learning (ML); Training of custom machine learning / deep learning models based on structured and unstructured data. Selecting features, building and optimizing classifiers using machine learning techniques; Data mining using state-of-the-art methods. Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis. Design the IT architecture for solutions in the NLP / ML / AI fields, and coordinate its implementation considering master- and meta-data management concepts. Analyse data architecture for consistency, completeness, accuracy and reasonableness. Contributing to the design of the IT architecture considering master- and meta-data management concepts. Contributing to drafting and writing of scientific publications, technical reports, data briefs and country-specific analysis. Give presentations and communicate results to technical and non-technical audiences. Contributing to developing new data visualisations and interactive dashboards. What do you need to succeed in this position? Master degree in either one of the following:- Economics, political science or related fields with strong proficiency in machine learning and/or natural language processing.
- Computer science with demonstrated knowledge in economics and/or social science.
Specialisation in statistics, machine learning and/or natural language processing. Strong proficiency in R, with experience in relevant machine learning and data processing libraries (e.g., caret, tidymodels, dplyr). Good knowledge of Python, particularly in machine learning and data processing libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, SpaCy, NLTK). Good understanding of GIS tools and geospatial data analysis. Experience with dynamic reporting and interactive visualization tools, such as Plotly, Shiny, or other similar frameworks. Excellent knowledge of machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as k-NN, Naive Bayes, SVM, Decision Forests, Neural Network, and/or artificial intelligence frameworks. Excellent knowledge of Data Management. Good knowledge of Linux. Good knowledge of Unix and Bash. Knowledge of query languages, such as SQL and with information extraction. Experience with big data analysis, including structured and non-structured databases. Good applied statistical skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc. Good scripting and programming skills. Data-driven mindset. Ability to understand, speak and write English (B2).
