NoOffer DescriptionThe study is concerned with the sensitivity of the NGGM and MAGIC satellite simulations to the earthquake source generating co- and post-seismic gravity changes.
The study includes:Extract co- and post-seismic gravity changes from NGGM and MAGIC data and estimate seasonal terms, co-seismic jump, and post-seismic trends.Integrate these data with GPS and InSAR published coseismic displacements to constrain co-seismic fault movement.Fix fault geometry based on seismology and surface displacements.Estimate slip distribution by jointly fitting gravity and surface deformation in a data assimilation scheme.Test consistency of the extracted post-seismic gravity signal with the visco-elastic relaxation model to determine if afterslip has occurred.Use the QSSPSTATIC code for forward modeling.Assess the ability of NGGM and MAGIC to detect and quantify gravity variations caused by earthquakes.Eligibility of fellows: country/ies of residence: OTHEREligibility of fellows: nationality/ies: #J-18808-Ljbffr
