The primary purpose of the position is to help young families develop skills to cope with stress, isolation, deployment, post-deployment reunions, and the everyday demands of parenthood, while preventing child maltreatment incidents. It offers early intervention services that include maternal and infant health education, parent and child bonding techniques, positive parenting practices, child development, and child safety education. NPSP services include support tailored to each family's unique circumstances.
