Network Control Manager (Air Cargo Industry) We are searching for an experienced Network Control Manager (Air Cargo Industry) at our Malpensa Office.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: The Network Control Manager is the primary hub for communication between the MSC Air Cargo organization and our operating partners' operations teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the MSC Air Cargo Network.
They will also develop, implement, and execute initiatives to improve both the cost and performance of our network.
Responsibilities Monitor and manage all MSC network operations in conjunction with operating partners.
Maintain continuous and proactive communication with operating partners' operations control centers, ensuring up-to-date information flow and prioritizing MSC Air Cargo's best business interests.
Track on-time performance (OTP) of operating partners, report on OTP, and develop initiatives to improve OTP, delivering as promised to customers.
Maintain accurate delay information and ensure correct application of delay codes by operating partners.
Manage ad-hoc schedule changes with operating partners to minimize and correctly apply costs.
Initiate and monitor traffic rights, landing/overflight approvals, and airport slot applications in coordination with operating partners.
Develop and execute IROP (Irregular Operations) control and communication procedures and regularly report on network status to the MSC team globally.
Coordinate with the commercial team to adjust routings where possible to limit secondary delays.
Participate in collaborative decision-making processes with all stakeholders and provide cross-departmental support as required.
Manage various projects from pre-planning through change management implementation as requested by the Head of Network, Planning ACMI.
Collaborate with other departments and leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects that improve MSC Air Cargo's service or reduce overall costs.
Ensure operating partners meet contractually agreed service levels and standards.
Coordinate daily flight activity with operating partners and MSC Air OCC.
Manage ad-hoc charter and commercial diversion opportunities.
Assist in the reconciliation of operating partners' invoicing.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in aviation management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in network control, airline operations, or a related field.
Proven experience in managing teams and coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
In-depth understanding of airline operations, network control, and irregular operations (IROP) management.
Familiarity with traffic rights, landing/overflight approvals, and airport slot applications.
Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using operations control and scheduling software.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
Proactive and able to work under pressure.
Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to foster a collaborative and supportive team environment.
Strong commercial and customer orientation.
Proficiency with Office 365 (Excel, word, PowerPoint) Fluent in English; further languages would be advantageous.
