CACI has an excellent opportunity for an experienced, self-directed, Network Administrator. This position is in support of a Department of Defense (DoD) organization, US AFRICOM located OCONUS in Vicenza, Italy. This position is required to travel OCONUS.
The Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, analyzing, troubleshooting, repairing and supporting switching and routing devices, firewalls, load balancers, alarmed carrier devices, uninterruptable power supplies, and in-line network encryption devices, which deliver the Command's network transport capabilities. They configure devices in accordance with security policies.
The Network Administrator develops and maintains IP address schemes for all assigned networks, and annually reviews and updates the Master IP Routing Schema. Troubleshoot and correct all detected or reported network faults or outages. They provide assistance via remote access, phone, or in person. Candidates need excellent problem-solving and customer service skills, as well as extensive experience with network hardware, software applications, operating systems and network connectivity. They must be customer service-oriented and proactive in anticipating and resolving problems while maximizing efficient use of resources.

The successful candidate must be able to communicate clearly and succinctly both written and orally, and present products and ideas in a business-like manner. The candidate will be required to work in dynamic fast-paced environments that require team interaction and coordination of efforts. The candidate must be experienced in interfacing with both client managers and system users.
They must operate, maintain, and manage the LAN infrastructure (e.g., switching and routing devices, firewalls, load balancers, alarmed carrier devices, uninterruptable power supplies, in-line network encryption devices).
The Network Administrator coordinates hardware and software system installation and ensures specifications are met. They create and maintain thorough documentation for all incident resolutions and troubleshooting instructions in the Knowledge Databases. As required, work with hardware and software vendors to verify timely product delivery and ensure that new equipment is installed and ready to operate on schedule.
The Opportunity:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Network Administrator to join our team at Caserma Del Din, Italy supporting USAFRICOM on the ELITE contract. The ideal candidate will have at least a SECRET clearance, a CCNA certification, and the ability to meet Italy's TESA (Technical Expert Status Accreditation) requirements.
Responsibilities:
Install, configure, and maintain network hardware and software. Monitor network performance and ensure system availability and reliability. Perform network security measures and ensure compliance with security policies. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues and outages. Re-key cryptographic equipment on an as-needed basis. Collaborate with other IT staff to design and implement network solutions. Maintain documentation of network configurations and changes. Provide technical support and training to end-users. Handle touch labor requests in the Data Center. Assist with remote troubleshooting of all equipment within the Data Center. Qualifications:
Active SECRET clearance. CCNA certification. Ability to meet Italy's TESA requirements. Must meet 8570 IATII requirements. Proven experience as a Network Administrator or similar role. In-depth knowledge of network protocols and services. Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Desired:
CCNP certification. Experience working in a military or government environment. Familiarity with DoD network security policies and procedures. Additional certifications such as CCNP, ITIL. What You Can Expect:

Pay Range: The proposed salary range for this position is: $71,800 - $150,900
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications.
