PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: As Naval architect specialist in Hydrostatic & Hull structural design , you will join our Naval Department, in the business line ENCAR, conducting the following activities:
Lead hull structural and hydrostatic activities on projects; Interface with other NAVAL disciplines including the construction team; Develop knowledge of Naval Engineer competencies in vessel hydrostatic, stability, and structural engineering; Apply and improve technical skills, expertise, knowledge, procedures, and tools as required for proposals and project execution; Improve quality and efficiency in naval engineering activities; Conduct hydro-structure calculations, i.e., computation of the vessel's structural response with respect to wave conditions, longitudinal and transverse strength of hull girder; Pressure hull design, plates, and shells structural analyses; Dynamic loads including slamming phenomena; Structural theory and practice (extreme loading cases, fatigue of structural details, etc.); Utilize numerical techniques and software used in naval engineering such as FEM techniques, panel model based numerical, etc.; Adhere to classification society rules (ABS, BV and/or DNV); QUALIFICATION: Naval Architect – Hydrostatic & Hull structural design
