We are currently seeking a Naval Architect, reporting directly to the Modular Design Section Head to join our Engineering team based in Italy, Rome Operating Center. You will work inside the Modular Design Section that is in charge of the management of Proposals, Basic Engineering Design up to Detail Engineering Design of Modularized Onshore Projects.
The key interaction of the Naval Architect is internally with Project teams, Procurement, Construction, and other engineering disciplines; externally with Clients, Yard fabricators, Transport Contractors, and Marine Warranty Surveyors.
The Naval Architect shall define and manage all phases of the Sea Transportation activities, including but not limited to aspects related to Marine and Load-out activities in close coordination with Project Lead and functional entities. The Naval Architect shall support the structural design of Modules during Sea transportation, by defining input data to structural engineers.
Role and Responsibilities The role and your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Design and analysis of mooring systems Definition of Vessel motions and sea accelerations on Modules during sea transportation Issue and review of technical part of requisitions, bid analysis, and Purchase Orders Issue and review of naval deliverables (procedures, notes, technical reports) related to Load-out / Load-in phase Review of technical documentation issued by Transport Vessel Contractors Coordination with the Marine Warranty Surveyor and interfacing with other parties to ensure the necessary activities related to the load-out, barge transport, off-load, installation of Stability, stowage plans, ballast management, and bollard pull calculations for barges and Modules according to Noble Denton requirements. Developing concept and detailed lifting arrangements, SPMT layouts, deck layouts, and sea-fastenings; Grillage and Sea Fastening Design About You We'd love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:
