Posted: 06/27/2024 2024-06-27 2024-09-27 Employment Type: Temp-To-Hire Job Category: Skilled Technician Job Number: 08 - 174026 cc Pay Rate: $15 to $20/hr, based on experience Job Description We are looking for Winders who will be responsible for rewinding various kinds of basic electromechanical equipment including removing the original winding, inspecting for winding failure damage, recording data from the original winding, making new coils, winding, and performing voltage testing on standard or basic windings. You will work second shift from 3:30 p.m. to 12 a.m. Job Responsibilities: Rewind various kinds of electromechanical equipmentDismantle and/or strip damaged or unserviceable electromechanical equipment, including media blastingInspect various kinds of electromechanical equipment for winding damage and evidence of electrical malfunctionsDocument and record all relevant data specific to units electromagnetic characteristics, operating conditions, existing damage, or intended serviceabilityPrepare all reusable parts for rewinding and inspect renewed parts for hidden, structural damage, or unusual conditionsAbility to strip stator or apparatus without damage to core or ironTest rewound electromechanical equipment according to EASA Standards and document test results Job Requirements Job Qualifications: Must have at least 5 years of experience in rewinding AC and DC electric motorsPrior practice in winding fields, armatures, and synchronous rotor poles is neededMust have basic knowledge of rotors, stators, sawzalls, etc.Must be able to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division including fractionsMust have the ability to read, write, and comprehend simple to moderately complex written and verbal instructionsThe ability to understand, perform, and retain various job-related training, operational, and safety procedures is requiredMust have the ability to operate and perform VPI, exercise initiative, judgment, and decision making Must be able to operate machinery and hoists, have common knowledge of testing and tools, ability to read tape measureMust have the ability to stand, stoop, kneel, and bend for prolonged period of time and carry at least 50 poundsOnly candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered.
