**MAIN PURPOSE**
Reporting to the Product Development Manager, is responsible for following the development and industrialization of Belts (Belt Buckles & Straps) and Trolleys in the collections.
In this role, he / she is animating a network of suppliers that can provide high quality components for Montblanc and interacts on a daily basis with Montblanc Product Development Manager.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Development and industrialization of new components for collections**
- Coordinates with MTB Development team, the realization of prototypes at manufacturers, taking into account cost objectives, quality requirements and integration of the metal component on the finished products.
- Defines with MTB and PRF development teams the appropriate development and industrialization planning and liaise with manufacturer.
Follow each milestone of Belts & Trolleys development and alerts in case of deviation.
- When prototype is validated, consolidates the technical documents (technical drawings ad specifications done internally or externally, quality requirements).
- Industrializes the component to assure stable and efficient production.
Validates production tools and controls conformity of preseries with quality control teams.
- Edits orders of prototypes and samples and record all development costs in budget follow-up.
**Pricing**
- Supports purchasing department in price agreements and production times and production lead-times with suppliers
- Continuous monitoring of products / materials / sales prices of similar products of competing brands or with suppliers network.
**Quality improvement and series technical support / countertyping**
- In coordination with Quality team, follows quality rejection rates during incoming control and analyzes main root causes.
Defines, with suppliers, improvement plans and follows implementation.
- Supports technically suppliers or PRF internal teams (purchasing, production planners, quality) for series supply in case of deviation.
- Technically follows all countertyping activities for supply securitization or for costs optimizations.
Reports regularly countertyping progression with purchasing team.
**Supplier network extension and Innovation**
- In close collaboration with purchasing manager, proposes new suppliers for various metal accessories, to pursuing technological improvement, cost containment and compliance with the Group's quality standards.
- In collaboration with MTB Development and design team, specific research on new and innovative processing systems and new materials that could be used in the future collections.
**Required Experience /Skills**:
- A strong experience (between 8 to 10 years) in the Leather goods industry (belts and trolleys especially).
