JOB DESCRIPTION:Primary FunctionThe Molecular Account Executive is responsible for managing and expanding molecular activities for assigned customers in the defined country territory.
The role includes acting as an advisor/consultant to customers.
The Account Manager is responsible for retention and value expansion with assigned Abbott existing as well as new possible accounts.Major ResponsibilitiesNew business acquisitionRenewals of expiring contracts or new tenders issued by existing customers, including price negotiations to ensure customers have the right pricesEstablish value propositions and build business casesPost-sale involvement with customersDevelop broad relationships with key molecular lab stakeholders including the decision-making units, clinicians, and purchasing departmentsServe customer requests and forward them to the respective Service department for technical and applicational questionsBecome an advisor/consultant to customers on lab productivity, use, and/or designWork actively in the CRM system, keeping customer data up to date and reporting activities and market dataAct as the single point of contact that responds to customers promptlyEducationBachelor or Master degree or equivalentBackgroundExperience in the IVD laboratory diagnostics businessExperience in sales is preferable but not mandatory if there is strong experience in the molecular diagnostic fieldExperience in the molecular laboratory field is mandatoryStrong experience in maintaining and developing customer relationshipsNative in the local language/English; other languages are advantageousThe base pay for this position is: N/A.
