This key part of our business ensures we fulfill and dispatch orders efficiently so that our customers receive their items on time.
As an Area Manager, you'll ensure your site runs smoothly to meet customer demand.
You will lead a team that helps maintain safe, efficient, and high-quality operations while managing various projects across our network to drive productivity.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreate, oversee, and drive a culture of safety and wellbeing.Analyze and implement changes to maintain high levels of quality and productivity.Oversee projects to streamline processes, optimize productivity, and enhance service quality for customers within your area of responsibility.Analyze shift performance against relevant business objectives and implement actions to improve operational excellence.Work collaboratively with management-level colleagues to standardize shift practices.A Day in the LifeYou'll work on a shift pattern at one of our sites, focusing on driving a culture of safety and upholding quality and shift performance standards.
Your day will include routine team management, daily operational responsibilities, process improvement, and wide-scale operational contingency tasks.
You'll also serve as a role model and mentor to new managers.
Basic QualificationsA degree.Relevant experience in people management.Experience communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, including peers and leadership.Experience using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions.Advanced proficiency in verbal and written English and the local language.Preferred QualificationsExperience working with Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen techniques.Experience in another logistics environment.Relevant experience with the MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) in a professional setting.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
