Microsoft & Linux System Specialist

Role PurposeDeliver transformational IT/ICT projects in cloud environments for Vodafone and some of its largest Enterprise customers, thus contributing to the achievement of Vodafone Business' ambitious growth targetsKey accountabilities and decision ownership• Delivering IT projects including complex technical solutions, migrations and guaranteeing quality within the constraints of schedule, features/functionality, and budget (cost analysis, forecasting, tracking)• Deploying, configuring, and managing operating systems, infrastructure common services (Active Directory, DNS, back-up) leveraging on public, private, hybrid infrastructures and resources• Ensuring Security by design requirements/process, and managing the Health & Safety rules/guidelines• Establishing a strategy of continuous risk management that enables proactive decisions and actions throughout the project life-cycle• Guaranteeing resources delivery in line with master program/project plan, continuously aligning customer account team• Managing delivery to guarantee a smooth and well-documented hand-over to operation.
Core competencies, knowledge, and experience• Demonstrated capability in managing large and complex implementations from design through to go live.• Experience in managing Windows and Linux operating systems • Experience in installing and configuring applications and middleware on Windows and Linux operating systems ( IIS, Apache, Tomcat, etc.
)• Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, DNS and Linux LDAP Server• Knowledge of the main DBMS (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle, etc.).
• Experience with the main backup software ( Veeam)• Good Knowledge of "Migration & Transformation" methodologies, procedures and tools for IT architectures and Infrastructures• Proven experience in datacentre migration and disaster recovery projects• Knowledge and experience about VMware environment• Knowledge of the main private and public cloud solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.
).Must have technical/professional qualifications• Microsoft certification ( AZ-800/801)• Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator or similar certifications• Azure, AWS, GCP and VMWare certifications are considered a plus.• Graduated (Engineering) BA or master's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent industry experience• Fluent in English• Industry/Company: ICT/TLC/System Integrators/Consultant Companies
