The travel industry is dynamic, exciting, and adaptable with many interesting opportunities to explore.About the Role:The Project Manager ensures the successful delivery of each event, taking the lead throughout the planning and execution phase of each project, including on-site event supervision and financial administration.
The Project Manager promotes new business opportunities, works closely with internal stakeholders, key suppliers and presents tailor made concepts & programmes to each client.Manages the strategy of all activities related to the assigned projectDetermines client's needs and expectations, liaising with the sales team to ascertain client's precise requirementsSelects & negotiates appropriate vendors to supply all components of the eventEnsures correct planning & creation of the overall design, producing detailed proposals (costing sheets and presentation) Monitors and controls services confirmed before and during the event Oversees all aspects of event execution by coordinating with suppliers and handling Sales/Clients enquiries Uses personal judgement and initiative to develop effective and constructive solutions to challenges and obstaclesProduces pre/post event evaluation for analysis & future service delivery level improvementImplements standard/best practices & procedures across all market for consistency.Studies new product ideas and destinations, keeps up to do date with industry news Attends business trips as requested Seizes new business opportunities and identifies marketing and sales activities in cooperation with the team To Succeed in this role you should have: Degree in tourism / business administration / marketing / event management Experience in similar position within the MICE business, DMC or event agency (3-5 years) Excellent knowledge of main suppliers with ideal specific focus on destination Italy and Far East Fluency in English is essential, any additional language(s) such as Spanish and Portuguese are advantageousExcellent project and time management skillsStrong planning and execution skillsStrong verbal and written skillsSound organisational and MS Office skillsProven track of project management and sound negotiation and analytical skillsAbility to interact effectively with internal management on all levels and manage relations to ensure professional interactionExpert knowledge of functional areas, applies acquired job skills of depth and understanding of the company and departmental policies Ability to demonstrate leadership and motivational skills when requiredAbility to effectively influence at multiple levels with excellent communication skillsTeam player, team builder, ability to work both in group situations and also as an individualCreative thinking for effective problem resolutionExcellent at multitasking and able to prioritise and meet deadlinesWhat We Offer:Global Brand: Opportunity to work in an international environment.Stability: 100 Years at the top of our field and still pushing into new territoryProgression: We reward high performers and look to promote key talent internallyLearning and Development opportunities for growth and UpskillingA Supportive Management Culture and autonomous working environmentCompany Wide Bonus SchemeDedicated Employee Engagement ActivitiesFlexible & Hybrid WorkingAnnual Awards and Recognition for high PerformersFriendly and Collaborative work environment
