Job Description Olympus is seeking an experienced attorney to support legal services for its subsidiary Olympus Brazil.
The qualified candidate will have prior experience in corporate environment and highly regulated market and will be responsible for advising and liaising with local executives with respect to all legal transactional matters.
Other responsibilities includes implement and comply with regional legal policies in Brazil; serving as a member of local leadership team; supervising sales program and template development; supporting litigation matters and outside counsel engagements; and maintaining Olympus&apos overall risk profile and ethical standards.
Job Duties Serve as principal legal advisor for Olympus Brazil providing advice on a broad range of topics including commercial transactions distribution and sales agency anticorruption practices labour and general legal issues.
Partnership with the business to be able to recognize legal risks and advice in advance.
Provide guidance on risks and best practices related to local and international anticorruption laws.
Negotiate and draft a variety of commercial transactions.
Provide support in establishing and documenting sales programs and promotions.
Maintain active communication with Olympus&apos Regional Assistant General Counsel about legal risks.
Adapt implement and deliver training on legal department policies and procedures.
Contribute to business group and legal department development of policies and standards.
Manage outside counsel engagements including budgets and fees.
Proactively identify legal risks affecting Olympus and collaborate with local management to mitigate risks.
Follow and advise on major developments in laws and regulations.
Job Requirements Member of Brazil bar in good standing required.
More than 10 years of legal experience.
Prior practice as in-house in multinational company.
Experience in highly regulated industry required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and maintaining a positive professional image.
Demonstrate ability to provide clear and consistent legal advice.
Advanced or fluent in English.
