What you will do: As a Metering Specialist Engineer in Manufacturing, Operations and Services field, you will be responsible for all activities related to: Definition of the test strategies and drafting of the specifications related to the metrological calibration and Quality Acceptance (QA) processes of the smart meters produced under Gridspertise Intellectual Property, at Contract Manufacturers' (EMS) factories worldwide located.
Validation (commissioning) of the Calibration and QA testing benches during the startup phase of the production line.
Debugging of the test solutions and management of the periodic maintenance activities on the benches.
Management of the requests for modification on the benches based on product/process change requests during the mass production.
Analytical analysis of the data reports generated by the testing machines, for determination of the measurement & accuracy errors, completeness of the data and compliance to the applicable normative and Gridspertise specification.
Detailed cause-effect analysis in case of unsatisfactory results and management of the implementation of corrective actions.
Technical support to the resident engineer colleagues at Contract Manufacturers' factories worldwide located.
Debugging and pre-validation of the test benches during the construction phase at the supplier's side before the shipment to the Contract Manufacturers' factories.
Collaboration with the Design teams of Gridspertise (Hardware, Firmware, Mechanics), both during the phase of handover of a new product ready to be startup in a new production line and also during the mass production of existing products, for the management of change requests.
Who you are: Master's Degree preferably in Electronic or Electrical Engineering with: 2 years of experience in Manufacturing teams of companies that develop electronic products for industrial/automotive/home appliance markets Knowledge of the main European and international standards for electronic energy meters Knowledge of electronic measurements in a laboratory environment (ability in the use of the main laboratory equipment, such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, multimeter, etc.)
Experience in the definition and update of technical documentation and manuals related to operative, maintenance, calibration procedures, inclusive of technical annexes, check lists, etc.
Experience in trouble shooting hardware / software on electronic industrial or automotive products subject to defects / failures Professional knowledge of Office package: Word, Excel, Power Point Fluent in English.
Knowledge of Portuguese and Spanish will represent a plus Knowledge of the main processes for manufacturing of electronic printed-circuit boards (PCB) and industrial equipment and their tests in production (such as In-Circuit Test, Functional Test, etc.)
