Metal Scrap Procurement Lead (f/m/d)
Responsibilities & Qualifications:
What awaits you: You maintain and develop contacts with aluminum scrap suppliers You ensure the quality and on-time delivery up to inspecting and processing of scrap deliveries at the recycling plant and remelt plants You explore new scrap markets to support the recycling content growth You analyze global procurement markets and develop new procurement strategies You continuously control and optimize internal material flows You cooperate closely with metal planning functions, European casthouses, operations including Nachterstedt Recycling Center, as well as other support functions (i.e. logistics, quality etc.) You are responsible to expedite procurement /open orders and to reduce metal costs Travelling within Europe (approximately 40%) How you convince us: You hold a university degree in Business Administration or similar You have at least 5 years working experience in the purchasing field You have a good understanding of the scrap market, recycling operations, supplier selection and risk assessment You are proficient in MS office programs (Word, Outlook, and Excel) Experience in SAP is welcome Flexibility and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work You bring a willingness to travel within Europe Business fluent German and English language skills What Novelis offers you: A permanent position with the global pioneer for technology and sustainability in the future market of aluminum processing and recycling An attractive salary package as well as a company pension plan Flexible working time models and the possibility for mobile working An employee parking lot and a company restaurant Corporate Benefits: Attractive purchasing benefits from well-known companies such as Apple, WMF, Sixt or Adidas Discounted membership in the cooperating fitness studio An open corporate culture with the opportunity to drive things forward and contribute ideas High occupational safety standards including free occupational medical care as well as an offer within the framework of health management Additional insurance policies covering out-of work injures and extra medical services The opportunity to shape a sustainable world together Have we caught your interest?
