Mission of the Role: As a Merchandise Financial Planning Specialist for the SEMEA cluster, you will be responsible for optimizing sales and inventory forecasts across multiple markets. By leveraging your expertise, you will ensure that demand plans align with financial targets while maximizing margin opportunities through data-driven decisions on pricing and promotions. You'll work collaboratively with internal teams to maintain inventory balance, adapt to market trends, and proactively manage risks across channels.
Key Responsibilities: Inventory Planning & Forecasting: Lead weekly OTB forecasts to project sales and inventory for all collections. Plan and manage stock levels across channels to meet demand, coordinating closely with Finance and Retail teams.Sales Target Management: Define and monitor sales targets by channel (sellout and sell-in), adjusting forecasts based on performance insights. Proactively communicate risks or opportunities related to collections.Pricing & Margin Analysis: Plan average selling prices per collection/channel, assess impacts of promotions and discounts, and monitor gross margins to support revenue goals.Trade Review Participation: Act as a key contributor to weekly trade reviews, presenting variances in sales and inventory targets and initiating actions to resolve challenges.Inventory Optimization: Own the process of inventory balancing, escalating shortages or overages to maximize sales and mitigate risk.Global Collaboration: Engage in quarterly OTB meetings with Global Merchandising, sharing best practices, and supporting knowledge exchange between global and local teams.Professional Experience: About 5 years in merchandising, preferably with experience in retail, fashion, lifestyle, or FMCG industries. Previous exposure to global vertical retail and omnichannel operations is an asset.
Skills:
- Advanced Excel proficiency; adept in planning software and eager to learn new technical tools
- Fluency in English
Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, or Fashion Merchandising.
