MEP Lead - Data Centre Project - Milan - 12-Month Contract This is your opportunity to work for a global data centre operator that has been recognised as one of the fastest growing and well-known groups in the industry.
Having received significant investment, this established data centre group is in their next phase of growth and requires the expertise of an MEP Project Manager. They have established partnerships with many of the well-known technology powerhouses and tailor their development to their client's requirements.
Key Responsibilities:Oversee the Completion of All Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) Systems:
Ensure that all MEP systems are completed in accordance with project specifications, quality standards, local regulations, and safety protocols, driving project delivery toward successful completion.Coordinate with General Contractor (GC) and OFCI Vendors:
Work closely with the GC and Owner-Furnished Contractor-Installed (OFCI) equipment vendors, ensuring timely responses, effective coordination, and seamless integration of equipment into the infrastructure. Drive the project towards completion by maintaining clear communication and addressing any bottlenecks promptly.Change Order Management:
Proactively manage and process change orders related to MEP systems, ensuring proper documentation and timely approvals. Maintain transparency and communication with stakeholders on all changes and their potential impacts on scope, budget, and schedule.Collaboration with Design and Consulting Teams:
Collaborate with design, consulting teams, and GC to address major design issues, RFIs, and any discrepancies between design intent and field conditions. Facilitate quick resolution to prevent delays and ensure alignment between all parties.Contract Management:
Oversee MEP-related contracts with the GC and OFCI vendors, ensuring commercial reviews and forecasts are conducted on a monthly basis. Track progress against site execution to identify any deviations early on. Manage contract terms, amendments, and negotiations to ensure alignment with the project's financial goals and timelines.Problem Solving & Scope Gap Management:
Provide proactive solutions to daily challenges and scope gaps in the MEP aspects of the project, anticipating potential issues and driving resolution with minimal impact on overall project delivery.Experience:6-12 Years of experience in MEP roles in construction, commissioning, or design.Recent experience in data centres or critical infrastructure (Optional but desired).If this role is of interest to you, please apply now!
