Make your mark for patientsAbout the roleThe Medical Solutions Lead serves as the local scientific expert in the therapeutic area, possessing deep knowledge of both assets and disease states.
As the comprehensive medical-scientific partner to the local Business Unit, they provide expertise in shaping medical-scientific strategy, guiding tactical execution, and addressing medical inquiries.
The Scientific Lead works closely with the Solution Team and Regional Business Leads, ensuring that the highest scientific standards are upheld in all local activities and projects.You will work withAs the primary point of contact for the medical relevance of market access activities, this role bridges EU area and regional levels to align with long-term strategic goals.
You will also serve as the scientific reference for national market access initiatives.What you will doParticipation in the interdisciplinary development of the Patient Value Plans (PVP).Scientific input in the definition and shaping of local plans and input into MSL-tactics.Scientific adequacy and consistency of medical-scientific solutions (projects and activities, including materials), that are initiated and implemented locally or as part of an EU strategy.Supports with expertise in the conception of medical solutions, such as advisory boards, patient initiatives, added value-concepts, etc.Maintains deep knowledge of therapeutic areas, stakeholders, and market dynamics to develop differentiated patient solutions.Uses innovative approaches and agile decision-making to implement sustainable patient solutions.Creates patient-focused strategies that engage stakeholders and position UCB as a preferred biotech leader.Anticipates trends in healthcare and integrates them with business insights to develop impactful solutions.Builds trusted partnerships within the medical community to enhance patient value through collaboration and influence.Ensures adherence to high healthcare standards while creating agile programs for maximum patient benefit.Identifies research questions, analyzes data, and applies findings to inform decision-making.Leads projects with clear vision and strategic focus, ensuring alignment with UCB's objectives.Interested?
For this position you'll need the following education, experience and skills:At least 2 years of experience in a comparable role in Dermatology (preferred) or in any other relevant therapeutic area such as Rheumatology and/or Inflammatory disease.A previous experience in Dermatology is a strong asset.Fluency in written and spoken English.Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences required, MD or PhD preferred.Proven ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.Strong knowledge of relevant regulatory and Access/HTA regulations.Demonstrated coaching skills for both individual and team development.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Proven expertise in business planning, and developing and executing tactical plans.Familiarity with clinical studies, Investigator Initiated Studies (ISS), Non-Interventional Studies (NIS), and Real-World Evidence (RWE) projects is advantageous.Are you ready to 'go beyond' to create value and make your mark for patients?
