About our Pulmonary, Allergy, and Critical Care Medicine Department Our practice is located at 10 Main Street (2nd Floor) Florence, MA 01062. Our team is committed to advancing patient health through a variety of outpatient procedures and treatment.
Asthma—spirometry evaluation, FeNO testing, assessment of asthma control and tailored asthma educationAllergies—skin testing as well as allergen, venom and drug desensitization.COPD—pulmonary function testing and interpretation, home oxygen assessmentsPulmonary Nodules—symptom evaluation, bronchoscopySymptoms—evaluation of chronic cough, shortness of breath and lung cancer screening.Role Overview We are seeking a full-time, 40-hour Medical Assistant or EMT-B to support the practice onsite, Monday through Friday. Our Medical Assistants work autonomously while also functioning as part of the collaborative team, working 1 to 1 with their assigned provider.
The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM.
Responsibilities include: Ensuring efficient patient flow through the officeAssisting during office visits (rooming, examinations, point of care testing, immunizations, procedures, and treatments as directed)Performing clinically appropriate tasks related to patient panel management (phone calls, test results, prescription refill, coordination of care, etc.)Maintaining neat, clean, and safe patient care areasInteracting with patients and their families in a professional, friendly manner.Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent requiredCompletion of a formal medical assistant training program or an active EMT-B certification requiredCurrent Basic Life Support certification (BLS) from a program approved by the American Heart Association required prior to hireCMA, AAMA, RMA, CNMA, or CCMA Medical Assistant certification preferredPulmonary, Allergy, or Critical Care specialty experience preferredMass General Brigham is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
