Job Description The Medical Affairs Lead for pegcetacoplan in PNH will participate in the development of and lead the execution of the medical plan in close collaboration with our US partner Apellis, while adhering to the highest scientific and ethical standards ensuring for success.
Activities include medical affairs tactics, support to scientific communications, publications, and clinical studies.
Continuous support to activities and deliverables owned by the cross-functional headquarter teams (including Marketing, Patient Access, and Community Engagement).
Key Responsibilities: Execute global medical strategy, including the following deliverables: Build and execute global medical strategy and tactical plans Manage engagement of global KOLs in the field Input to clinical studies in phase 3-4 in PNH Support scientific communication Facilitate and support external and internal training and training material Give scientific input to external and internal scientific publications Support to cross-functional projects Provide scientific input to the development of material driven by cross-functional teams.
To be successful in these activities, the Medical Affairs Lead: Will possess and continue to develop significant level of knowledge on PNH Will build and further develop productive relationships with key external stakeholders Will develop productive relationships and contributions within the cross-functional headquarter team, as well as with local affiliate offices, and collaborative partners Will role model the highest scientific and ethical standards, and work in accordance with applicable rules and regulations with regards medical activities Qualifications 5 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry (e.g., Medical Affairs) Significant level of knowledge in haematology, experience with pegcetacoplan in PNH preferred Experience and ability to engage with key external stakeholders Proven ability to build and execute strategic and tactical medical plans Demonstrated ability to accurately and effectively evaluate and analyze medical/scientific literature Demonstrated presentation and communication skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Personal attributes Collaborative team player with interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a team setting and interact respectfully with people of different seniority and functional backgrounds Results oriented with a can-do attitude Strategic thinker who will challenge status quo to improve performance Sense of accountability and ownership Entrepreneurial, driven and engaged Flexible and able to operate in a quickly changing environment Prioritization and time management skills Able to work independently High medical, scientific and ethical integrity Strong attention to detail Additional Information All Sobi employees need to demonstrate behaviors in line with Sobi's core values: Care, Ambition, Urgency, Ownership and Partnership.
