About the role Our Mechanical team, composed of 3 people, is integrated into the Machinery department and focuses on CAPEX projects and Technical Site Assistance in collaboration with other departments (Process, Procurement, Civil). As a Mechanical - Piping & Valve Specialist, you will work on piping and its accessories (valves, PSV, gaskets, support) to support the Solvay Group (site and corporate). You will get the opportunity to contribute to applying and developing the Solvay piping standards and have a positive impact on piping reliability and cost. You will also have secondary expertise in Static equipment and you will provide support to this discipline when required. You will be accountable for:
Applying your best piping expertise to reach the required reliability, availability & maintainability for our customers with no compromise on safety. Creating more value from the assets and developing proactive safety design. Reviewing or assessing piping stress analysis and writing simple piping specifications like valves, gaskets, piping material class, and performing the technical bid evaluation. Writing complex specifications and performing Technical Site Assistance (TAS) to resolve piping troubleshooting (corrosions, leaks). Playing a key role in knowledge management while proactively integrating the team learnings related to piping. Following external consultants to absorb piping workload when required. We offer a permanent contract based on a hybrid working mode. About you Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar. Relevant work experience in piping discipline for at least 6 years and in static equipment for at least 4 years. Competencies:
Material (corrosion, strength); piping stress analysis. Valve technology and gaskets. Piping codes/regulations (PED, ASME B16.5, EN1092). Static equipment (ASME VIII div1, EN13445, CODAP). Fluent English (mandatory); French is nice to have. Behaviors:

While the Spain's base pay reasonably expected for this role is € 55,600.00 to € 69,500.00 and Italy's base pay is € 49,920.00 to € 62,400.00, your salary may ultimately be higher or lower based on your skills and experience.
