- Mechanical Maintenance Manager (Ovaro, Udine)
**RDM Group** is looking for a **Mechanical Maintenance Manager** to join the **Maintenance Team** **based in Ovaro (UD), Italy.**
The **Mechanical Maintenance Manager**, in accordance with the efficiency objectives (output quantity and quality, electric and tool maintenance costs, and related matters) sent by the Technical Manager, **is responsible for the efficiency of production units and auxiliary services, while respecting budget returns and costs.**
They plan and coordinate maintenance tasks to reach the **efficiency objectives** set by the Management, by checking the quality of materials and of the execution of installation works. They **collaborate with the Technical and Mill Manager** in defining the investment plans related to units and tools, to improve efficiency and performances, by pointing out any anomalies and suggesting suitable actions.
The **Mechanical Maintenance Manager reports to the Mill Manager.**
**Main responsibilities**:
- **Analysing the performance indicators of units and tools**, in a general mechanical field (including all unit lubrication);
- Making the necessary decisions for **correct planning of maintenance tasks**, carrying out new investments, in accordance with the production days set on a budget level for the mill, in agreement with and under the supervision of the Technical Manager;
- **Suggesting new technological solutions to the Technical and Mill Managers**, thanks to a constant monitoring of the technological evolution of their industry and others;
- **Working closely with the Electronic Maintenance Manager, the Technical Office, the Production Dep. Manager, the Laboratory Manager and the Finishing Manager** to optimize plants and machines in the department;
- Accountability for the **relationship with technical/unit suppliers **and for constantly assessing their competence in the service allocated to them and the quality level of the tasks they performed;
- Monitoring and managing, along with the Spare Parts Warehouse Supervisor, the **technical stocks**;
- Collaborating with the mill Procurement staff in **identifying and pre-qualifying suppliers**;
- Accountability for **optimising mechanical maintenance costs** (external actions, plant supplies and their implementation, etc.), for department productivity, for malfunction/breakdown downtimes and, more in general, for unit efficiency;
- Defining with the reference team the efficiency **target of the machines and process**, to guarantee maintenance process conformity, product quality and machine efficiency;
- Making sure that their team share and are assessed on **ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, OHSAS 18001 mill targets**;
- **Keeping constantly in contact with tool and technology suppliers**, with the external maintenance team, with Mechanical Maintenance Managers of other mills, industry technical working groups, to guarantee a continuous exchange and update of information;
- Contributing to reaching the **mill budget **in their area of accountability;
- Ensuring the quality standards expected by maintenance efficiency to limit unit shutdowns.
**Main requirements**:
- **Engineering degree **(mechanical
- mechatronic field)/mechanical technician;
- **At least 5 years in maintenance department preferably in papermaking/board firms, of which at least 2 as manager of mechanical department**;
- **Good knowledge of English**. Another European language is a preferred;
- Strong interpersonal and presentation skills with the ability to influence others;
- **Excellent Problem-solving** capabilities and skills, flexibility;
- Hands-on attitude and strong execution skills;
- Ability to structure, prioritize and organize work across functions.
