A Snapshot of Your Day: As a Hands-On Mechanical Technician for Service on Small Gas turbines worldwide, you will be responsible for the completion and management of maintenance activities of our products through performing and supporting on-site activities in partnership with the business, customer, and contractors in line with the site programme.
How You'll Make an Impact:
Performs the mechanical activity and carries out engineering modifications (hardware) to ensure the customer plant performs to specification. This includes specialist troubleshooting activities worldwide, site surveys to provide detailed reports from the basis of design plans for modification and upgrades, handling subcontractors, and daily site report preparation with timely submission of field reports and associated documents after completion or site demobilizations.
Reviews complex plans, drawings, and schematics, providing continual guidance throughout the task duration. Collaborates with the project manager and project engineer (where applicable) to ensure the commercial position is safeguarded during mechanical activity.
Represents the company during formal customer briefing/de-briefing meetings to update the customer on mechanical progress, safeguarding the interests of the company.
Provides onsite training to less experienced field service engineers, updates knowledge on new products and vendor equipment, and assists in developing commissioning procedures. Guides the training of customer operators in the maintenance of complex equipment.
Takes full responsibility for Environmental and H&S when on site, ensuring control measures are in place in the field. Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by following all safe work practices, policies, and processes, and reporting all near misses and incidents.
What You Bring:
Demonstrated ability (at least 3 years) in delivering service products to the customer in an operating environment within the Oil and Gas Market.
Broad Gas Turbine product knowledge (core, package, and controls), preferably in a hands-on capacity.
Willingness to travel and work worldwide around 80% of the time and to be away from home for periods at minimum notice.
Competent in the use of Microsoft Office IT systems.
Able to work on weekends and bank holidays if required, including shift work based on project requirements. Our team is required to participate in the 24/7 support when necessary.
Proficient in English and Italian.
Great teammate with excellent communication and team-working skills, with a strong customer focus and the ability to influence, taking charge of teams in different countries – cultural awareness is essential.

Ability to perform well with limited supervision and under pressure/time constraints.
