Improve the vessels' technical availability and reliability thus reducing costs and downtime. Follow company safety procedures; carry out toolbox meetings and job safety analysis before commencing jobs. Realize a detailed report for each job request to management and to whom it may concern (vessel, Technical manager, Superintendent). Improve safety record and prevent lost time accidents. Give assistance to his HOD, in order to assist in achieving his objectives. Maintain tools under his inventory in good working condition. Reduce loss of tools and improve tools box efficiency. Qualifications, Skills and Experiences B.Sc / HND Mechanical Engineering. Ability to work under the direction of program managers and engineers to perform tests, and evaluate materials for particular applications. Ability to develop basic technical design and developmental problem-solving skills. Ability to develop and maintain effective, professional relationships, and communicate effectively. Ability to access shipboard spaces via vertical/inclined ladders and through compartments with limited overhead and/or confined spaces. Work Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the maritime industry. Job Location Minimum Level of Education Required 3 - Bachelor's degree (3 years)
