Your role & missionThe Mechanical Engineer, reporting into the Engineering Leader located in Italy and part of the Engineering team, uses their knowledge in the fields of engineering, physics, materials science principles, and engineering mathematics to design, analyse, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems that represent the core of the McPhy product. Our engineers are devoted to the creation and improvement of our electrolyzers and everything revolving around them, ensuring all ameliorations and new implementations are supported by top-notch know-how and are intended to strengthen the overall quality and performance of our machinery.
Your scope & daily tasksCarry out mechanical studies of "Electrolyzer" products:Mechanically dimension the packaging structures (containers, gas plates, etc.)Optimize integrations from a safety, manufacturing, operations, and maintenance point of viewCarry out detailed studies of mechanical sub-assemblies (3-D design)Draw up plans for the assembly lines of the sub-assembliesIntegrate and verify the detailed studies at the product/system level to constitute a complete mechanical design file, including the "As Built", in accordance with the list of componentsTrack mechanical requirements of subassemblies from the system/product specificationSubcontracting:Have requests for quotations for mechanical sub-assemblies completedManage the subcontracting of studies and realizationsEnsure a technological watch on 3D design tools and manufacturing technologiesOrganize and lead technical meetings on the mechanical partProvide the necessary information to monitor the work done and the remaining work to be doneConsult with manufacturers for mechanical sub-assemblies during the development and implementation phase.Your profileEngineering degree (or university degree) specializing in mechanicsPrevious experience in mechanical design, ideally in special machines, is considered a plusExperience in production (small and medium series) to integrate mechanical design in manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and maintenance in safetyVery good knowledge of SolidWorks, knowledge of EPDM is a plusMastery of office automation tools (Ms Office)Knowledge of process equipmentAbility to analyze technical documents for gas and electrical processesFluent in English, French is a plusKnowledge of risks related to hydrogen is a plusWhat we offerMcPhy's work environment & culture :Safety as a No.1 priority,Strong corporate values: innovating, committing, adapting & caring,International & dynamic environment,Multicultural & highly qualified team,Team spirit & collaborationFlexible work model.Working conditions:Contract type & details: permanent contract, full time, C3 level of Industria Metalmeccanica CCNLLocation: San Miniato (PI) - smart working 40-60Remuneration: 25.000-35.000€ + production bonus + profit sharingTravel requirement: occasional visits to parent company and providers' sitesSocial benefits:Meal vouchers 5,29€E-learning platformPublic transport reimbursement, free parking, canteen servicePension fundSupplementary healthcareWelfareMcPhy attaches great importance to the principle of non-discrimination in all its processes including recruitment processes.
