GEDI, on behalf of a multinational leader in space industry with upcoming production facilities in Turin, is looking for a
MECHANICAL ENGINEER & CAD DESIGNER The successful candidate will be responsible for creating precise mechanical designs using CAD software.
This role requires a solid understanding of engineering and design principles.
The ability to translate concepts into accurate models and drawings that meet project specifications and standards is essential.
Key ResponsibilitiesParticipate in satellite configuration and mechanical design processes.Design and model paneling and harnessing systems for satellites and mini-satellites.Develop accurate 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings of satellite systems and subsystems based on project requirements and specifications.Support AIV activities to ensure the acceptance of designed parts, including paneling and harnesses.Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, company guidelines, and project specifications.Maintain an organized database of CAD files, ensuring version control and proper documentation.Requirements Previous experience as a CAD designer, including work on satellites and mini-satellites.Bachelors or Masters degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or an equivalent field.Strong mechanical engineering background with expertise in satellite paneling and harnessing systems.Proficiency in solid modeling software and FEA tools (e.g., SolidWorks).Solid understanding and application of advanced engineering principles.Familiarity with inspection tools (e.g., micrometers, indicators), typically gained through machining or precision hands-on experience.Proficiency in written and spoken English is mandatory.Car equipped.Additional InformationContract Type: Permanent.Schedule: Full-time (40 hours per week).Benefits: Competitive salary and benefits package.Immediate start preferred.Location: Turin, Italy
