**Accountabilities**
- Mechanical design of Power Electronic Converters for Railway Applications
- Input Requirements Analysis to define detailed requirement for the mechanical design of Traction and Auxiliary Power Converters
- Power Converters 3D modelling in order to comply input requirements and optimize weight and volume
- Power converter CFD analysis and calculations to define materials, structural part sizing, welded and screwed joints.
- Drafting and issue of detailed: 3D/2D component drawings, 3D/2D assembly drawing, 3D/2D mainframe drawings, welding and joining maps, bill of Material, technical specifications, testing specifications.
- Verification of mechanical system integration onboard.
- Power Converters assembly\components validation in routine and type test
- Commissioning and service support
**Required Skills/ Knowledge**
- Good knowledge of main railway electronic circuit and components.
- Excellent knowledge of materials for structural frames (Stainless steel, carbon steel, aluminium,.
).
- Excellent knowledge of technological processes (welding, brazing, painting, gluing, corrosion protection, machining,).
- Good knowledge of main power electronics cooling system (Natural air, forced air, liquid, blower and pump characteristiscs, etc.
).
- Excellent knowledge of 3D modelling with CREO Parametric and use of other 2D/3D CAD tools for development of mechanical drawings.
- Excellent knowledge of G_PLM-CREO CAD integration.
- Excellent knowledge of FEM-CFD simulation tools (Hypermesh, Simulate, Comsol, Amesim, etc..).
- Excellent knowledge of hydraulic and areaulic test circuit, measurement and experimantation
- Excellent knowledge of hydraulic and air-cooling components and technology (Blower, Pump, radiators, coldplates, Heatsink, piping, valve, tanks, sensors, etc.
)
- Excellent knowledge and use of electrical CAD tools for development of schematics and wiring diagram (Autocad, etc.
).
- Excellent Capability to manage projects from the requirements definition phase to the final validation and analysis of the feedbacks from the field.
- Excellent knowledge of GPLM management process.
- Team working and problem-solving capability.
- External resource/supplier management capability.
- Excellent knowledge and use of the main office automation softwares / tools.

**Education / Qualifications**
